To all our southeastern YT'rs, prayers for your safety.

Be careful as the Huricane approaches.

Thank you for your prayers.
While this will not effect me directly in Louisiana; My Son; DIL; and grandson sit right at ground zero (St Lucie county) if this thing fails to turn. Even if it turns 20 miles late it could mean the differance in predicted 50 mph winds and 70+ mph winds. So we watch for every report and keep praying it turns.

With that said having grown up in SE La this is not his first storm.
His house is built to the latest hurricane code with metal window shudders and reinforced walls.
He and I have already made contact with friends he can fall back on provided he has to move at the last minute.
So we feel that our bases are covered and can now only sit back and hope for the best.

This picture will show just how close this storm will get to the coast on Tuesday pre dawn hours before the predicted turn.

Sorry to hear part of your family might get a piece of this storm John. I was glad it wasn?t coming here to La. but I guess good news for some is bad news for others.

Here in NH we don't get much for storms but we had a fairly bad on 11 years ago. I was on standby with the Fire Dept. at the station. Responses took a very long time because we had to cut up a lot of trees in order to pass. On one stretch I put a firefighter out in front of the engine to check for where there was pavement under the water.

My step sister lives in that area, havnt heard a word from her hope she is ok,and everybody else there
