I have an international 1086 with an air conditioner that doesn?t work. I suspect it may be leaking Freon. Any hints as to how hard it may be to fix thiS or where to look?

If it has the Tecumseh compressor with hose clamps on the hoses it will never stay working. I've not seen those to stay more than a season. The round Sanden compressor and lines will last longer like years.

I have a Ford 6700 with a York/Tecumseh compressor that will keep operator very cool. I can't remember how many yrs since I checked/added refrigerant to the 6700 AC system.

On 1086 I'd suggest to add green dye to AC system & check for leaks with a black light.

I replaced the shaft seal on a York once. It wasn't a bad job. A 1086 could be still on it's second set of hoses so all new ones may be the way to go.
