Electric golf cart charger

I have an ezgo electric golf cart that the 36 volt charger quit working. It very seldom gets used. I was going to sell it and go back to a gas model, I was going to get it charged up,but the charger does nothing. Is there something in the charging circuit that would stop it from working. The charge gauge is down in the red. Or do I need to get a new one.

If yours is like mine, the batteries have to have a certain amount of charge before the charger will kick on. I have taken the cables loose and charged them 2 at a time for a couple of hours, hooked them back up an the charger will kick on.

I've seen the electronic brains of the charger fried. I have replaced the brains with a fuse and turned the charger into a manual charger. Told people to use a timer on charger so they wouldn't fry the batteries.

Those chargers do require a minimum of charge before they will kick in. You can use a regular 6 volt charger and bring each one up some or 12 volt charger and bring them up in pairs a little so the ezgo charger will start up. If your charger is dead let me know. I have one I will make you a deal on.
