Kubota tractor

I recently borrowed my neighbor's 39??? series something Kubota to move some dirt while my other neighbor loaded it with a mini excavator. The question is-- there didn't seem to be a throttle control where I could take my foot off the gas pedal and have the tractor keep going. This was a deal where I just used the tractor for a couple of hours without really being familiar with it. I am used to a Farmall M ( old school ) where I just set the throttle and go. Ellis

It should have a hand throttle somewhere ? Either up near and under the steering wheel area ? or on the side of the dash panel ?

There is a hand throttle somewhere.

The "gas pedal" that you refer to is most likely a hydro pedal, which is a transmission control rather than an engine control.

Assuming it was a L 3940 would be right under the steering wheel on the right side, like Dean told you the foot pedal was only the hydro-static transmission control .

THOSE ANSWERS DONT GET U THERE...THE L3940 HST HAS THE R. FOOT PEDAL FOR FWD/REV...
THEN, THE CRUISE CONTROL U NEEDED, IS THE HANDLE NEAR YOU ON L, BESIDE GEAR SELECT...THIS GIVES U INFINITE FWD SPEED, BRAKE KILLS IT, OR PULL IT TOTALLY BAC...THEY ARE FANTASTIC...I DID LIKE U, TILL I READ BOOK..BE BLESSED, GRATEFUL, PREPARED...

If it?s set to auto throttle for the hydro the tractor will run the throttle to match load so you can just drive with the hydro pedal. Set it to manual and it?s like a normal hydro tractor.
