Just Two More

I always say that I am done buying tractors and my friends always laugh. Well, I just brought home a D-19 gas with aftermarket 3 point and a D-15 series II with factory three point. The D-19 is stuck and the D-15 has a few leaks. Good winter projects.

Those are two darned fine looking tractors. At least on the side that's showing.(;>)) I'm a long time Allis Chalmers fan seeing as how my Dad bought a brand new WC in 1936 and that was the tractor I first soloed on. We also had more Allis tractors later. That was the only brand we used back in "the good old days" (;>))

There?s always something those tractors can do, I don?t blame you for wanting to give them another chance.

dad tried out a new D15, but didn't buy it. I had a D14 from 1977 to 1981. sold it to get$$$ toward a bigger tractor. I'll have one model or the other again, I hope.

Nice looking 19 for the engine to be stuck. I've owned one for 40 years. Its my big tractor.

First tractor I ever operated in the field was a series II D15. Dad always had one around for a chore tractor. I have one here now that needs a little work. They have a very responsive governor and can do a lot of work for no bigger than they are. Easy on gas as well. The only drawback is only one way hydraulics. Your tractor looks good. Tom

If you want a winter project come over and put a set of brakes on my D17. For a wear item the engineers could hardly have made servicing them any more difficult - especially compared to the brake set up on other tractors of that time.
