I worked on an old Farmall H and it had a tank that looked like that.

Could have been used on a number of the gas start/diesel models....MD, 400, 450, WD9, etc. as the gasoline tank.

Looks like the starter tank for Farmall H or M, W-4, W-6 or W-9 with kerosene or distillate engine or even WD-6 or WD-9 with Diesel engine. The W-4 tank, and I suspect all the others, has only mounting bracket on one side as it attaches to the stand for the instrument panel (oil pressure and water temperature) and which also supports the steering shaft on the Farmalls.

When I built My HTA I used one of them for the power steering fluid - and used a 1943 H hood. a 350 farmall power steering pump -- worked perfect !

Need the dimensions. Looks like an H, maybe an M. I think an MD is bigger.

Tank is 11" tall. Total height to cap is 13". 5.5 in dia. Thanks
