farm mehanics

If you haven't noticed, the number of farms and farmers in the US has dropped drastically over any time period you want to choose. Fewer farmers, fewer subscribers. Sure you get a few from outside farming, but not nearly enough to make up for the loss of the main subscriber base.

Eventually the number of subscriptions gets to the point where it is no longer profitable to publish the magazine, so you have three choices:

1. Raise subscription rates. This has the unintended result of many canceling their subscriptions in protest of the higher cost.
2. Raise advertising rates. This has the unintended result of many advertisers pulling their ads in protest of the higher cost.
3. Close the doors.
 
When was the last time you saw a copy.???? The internet listing for February of
2017 was the last I could find and that was a download.

I've never heard of it, but from a
mechanic's point of view, they have made
the newer machines so complex, and
computerized, that no one but the
dealership can do anything substantial to
them.....and the dealership doesn't care
about info from anybody but the mfg they
represent. That limits the readership,
thus the profitability of the
magazine....and no profits equals closed
doors.

got the mag years ago, very usefull to a farmer. don't know what happond to it..dont worry bout your spelling I cant spell eather
 
I think the problem is so many folks are typing on their phone, and it's just tap, tap, tap, and enter! My spelling is pretty bad but I have a good spellcheck, and google!
 
For sure Russ, that is likely the cause of most or a lot of errors. I guess my reply was suggesting that nobody needs to be correcting or making fun of someone else's errors .... no matter what the cause.

Truthfully I haven't heard of mehanics. Wondered if you have? I do have an advantage as I'm typing from a full size keyboard !! I don't own a "dumb" smartphone, as my observations of other people using them, leaves lots to be desired.
 
Well sure, it was a spelling error whatever the reason, but I think you missed the point of my reply Ron.
