150 acre cattle ranch for sale in Ellington Missouri. 24 cows, 14 calves (not interested in anything that eats) all farming equipment. barns, and house. Comes with 8,000 watt generator, air conditioner, outside wood furnace. Not sure about those three things. Maybe it's gets cold in the winter, and hot in the summer, and power outages. The generator comes on immediately when the power goes out. That's handy. Priced for 610,000. Like I said if I were younger, I guess I'm stuck here here. Just getting fed up with all the traffic, and my town being turned into a yuppie bike town. Stan

I hope you buy it so that Old and I can come visit you. When in business, I had a customer there. I guess about 80 miles

Guy had 24 cows and produced only 14 calves. 10 open? I don't think he us selling out, I think the bank is taking over.

I used to live outside of Sycamore Mo. Few miles down the road from Dora I had to leave a Massey harris 44 there when I moved back to Minnesota.

It could be fun, if you are already independently wealthy and retired. I doubt that ranch could generate anywhere near enough income to pay off a mortgage, especially if you the house needs extensive renovation or you will need to build a new house. Good paying local jobs could be scarce.

If you are used to a growing urban areas conveniences and services, moving to an isolated low income rural area can seem like living off the grid, especially for the elderly. There are a lot of rural "counties in need". It's a nice dream, but look very closely before you leap.
