Time to get ready to cut hay again

Pull the sprayer off and the duals . Going to cut
second crop triticale next week

We?ve been very lucky with the amount of snow last winter it builds up the soil moisture better than all the rain In world for some reason . We?ve had winters where we?ve gotten the equivalent of 12 feet of snow and buy April the soil is dry as a bone
 
Thinking about it myself. I have not taken a second cutting in several years. It is usually pretty poor, but I have a lot of requests for it and...honestly...I could use some cash for family entertainment. Pizzas and such...
 

I will be mowing second cut tomorrow. I went by the field today and I had to stop and take a second look. There was grass that was knocked down by rain yesterday. I don't recall that ever happening with second cut in that field before because the ground there is dry.
 
Second on dry farm is almost unheard of . Even the alfalfa made second cutting this year which I have never seen
 
We are supposed to get rain the next few days and
then after that I?ll cut unless it really puts it down
then I might wait another week
