Have NH 1720 and blew fuse link on starter. Replace stater and fuse link but now having something draining my battery. With the ignition switch off my glow plug light comes on. Pulled the relay to glow plugs but battery still being drained

Fuse links are usually in the charging circuit. Being hooked to the starter is just to be able to conveniently attach to the battery positive terminal. If the link blew, the alternator may have a shorted diode. There may also be issues with the wiring at the key that would allow the glow plug relay to be turned on with the key off. If the alternator is disconnected at its big output terminal, and the plug in control terminal, does the draw continue? Did you replace the Starter? or the Stater? (stator) The stator is the stationary wire coils in the alternator. Jim

I agree with JA,alternator short is the likely culprit. Disconnect alternator to see if drain go's away. If that doesn't help,we can walk you through some tests with a multi-meter if you know how to use one.

The old starter might be just fine. The attachment point is to the battery (though at the starter). To find out, have it tested. Jim

I did disconnect the alternator in both places and also found wire shorted out at ignition switch. which I also fixed. But the battery is still being drained. Any suggestions?
