Went and looked at a 806 diesel and their was a leak between the injector pump and the engine block mating surfaces, also would like to know what the difference style pumps their were heard that their were IH style and Rosa master pumps.
And also have heard that those block were known to crack where the injector pump mounts.

Never heard of the block cracking there. I've owned an 806 since 1978 still have it. They had the IH RD pump on them or the Roosa-Master or a bosch not sure on that anymore.
What is leaking from the joint in the pump/block location? Oil or fuel. Are you sure it is not from the back side and just running around to the bottom or off the lid on the pump if it is an RD pump. There are 2 screws with a small metal piece those are the timing holes for the RD pump those will leak and the cover on top the rubber seal will leak sometimes also. Never was around one of the other pumps so can't say about them.
