JD 5103

Working on a JD 5103, the 3 point is stuck in the up position, this is the 3rd time this has happened in about 7-8 years. The last time was about a year ago. After the 1st time I replaced the hydraulic oil and filter. I have been pulling out the valve and cleaning it and putting it back together, everything works for a while. Should I replace the valve? I don't understand why this keeps happening. This tractor does not get many hours of use annually. Need Help. Thanks

Are you parking it with the 3pt in the up position ? I started parking my 5105 in the down position. I would park mine with nothing hooked to it in the up position so as to pack a little more stuff in around it. I am thinking with heating and cooling it built up pressure on it's own and the valve gets hydro locked ? From what I see on the hyd. schematic this system does not have a thermal relief in it ?
I would like to know what if any service bulletins JD has on these ,but I don't have good contacts at the dealers anymore and I never have went in and asked them.
