Is 925$ lighter today than it was yesterday but ringo said Barney was coming for us if we didn?t get new rear rubbers . The last set of these lasted 4 years and just under 50,000 miles the tire kid actually replaced all the valve stems and cleaned up the rims before putting the new ones back in so hopefully these aluminum wheels will hold air now

Sv what brand were they ? Tread pattern looks like a Cooper. I always dread buying tires. It's never cheap for 10 ply no matter what the brand !

Gotta do whatever it takes to keep Ringo happy. I keep telling myself my next truck I want a dually. It's posts like this that talk me out of it. I've never actually worn out a set of tires on my truck. For me it's the age that bothers me the most. I just don't put the miles on my truck.

They are cooper st maxx commercial traction?s they are pretty good tires and better than any I?ve tried for my application.

When I ran single wheel trucks it was a 1200.00$ bill for tires for a tire like these but they were also bigger but then I only had 7000 pounds carrying capacity and with these I get over 11000 on the rear axle . The bill today was would have been 1200.00 but I didn?t do the fronts yet I run a 265/75/16 with a less aggressive tread

Bob when I ran single wheel trucks I would only be able to get 25 sometimes 30,000 miles so I?m pretty happy with right at 46000 according to my records . Diesel trucks are pretty hard on tires especially when you tow a lot this one weighs just over 9700 pounds just the truck

I thought everything on a Cummins Dodge lasted forever.😁 How many transmissions did it take to wear the tires out?

Haven?t put one in it the 295.000 we?ve had it . I installed a transmission filter and keep the oil changed which it?s about passed due

Humm, I put 127,000 miles on a set of Firestone Wilderness AT tires on my '96 F250 diesel. Almost all highway miles, rotated them twice, front to back, back to front always on the same side. The rear tires actually wore faster than the fronts on the Twin-Traction Beam axle.

The Steel-Tex Firestone's on the truck from new went 93,000, the Bridgestone Dueler AT's on it now have about 86,000 but doubt they make 90,000.

The price of truck tires today I couldn't stand something only lasting 30,000.

Recheck the tightness at least 3 times. At 50 miles, at 250 miles. Thought that was enough. Should check them at 500 miles also. Had a rear rim come off. DOUG

I decided to be rid of those 16.5x12s on the back of my '92 D250 CTD, Two new B. F. Goodrich 315/75-16 KO-2s and 16x8 chrome wheels. My Visa Card was well over $800 lighter. Heck that was nearly half of what I paid for it a few years ago.

With the loads you pull/carry and the wear pattern on them it looks like they did well by you.

I have a 1981 Ford F350 dually 2 wd. Right now the tires have good tread and I hope they hold out. The front ones are the oldest. Not exactly sure of the age without looking it up. For fear of YTDOT violation I better not even check ! I barely use it anymore. If I had to get new tires for it that would be more than I could sell the truck for ! lol.
Funny how tires don't hold up anymore. A few guys here at work had tires fly apart and tear up bedside and fenders. The one guy with the truck had new ones put on less than the 6 year recommendation too. Did not have many miles on them as it is not driven a lot.

All of my dually trucks have had the stainless wheel covers.

What I do after having a wheel off is torque them, drive a while, torque them again and keep on doing this until I no longer get any nut rotation when checking them, be it twice or five times.

Only then do I install the center cap covers.

As it annoys me seeing the center cap not on it serves as a continuous reminder to me to recheck the nuts.

They have been one of the best tires I?ve ever ran . I
had a dick cepek tire on my Single wheel truck that
lasted well to but they don?t come in this size

(quoted from post at 18:59:47 07/24/19) He?s actually a tri color border collie but he?s a good one.

He looks very similar to our Belle. She's what we call a Borderline Collie, father was purebred Border Collie and mother was a Lab/Retriever mix. Smart little thing!
