before and after pictures

The other day I posted a picture of the ramp to my barn before the pour. Here is a picture of how it turned out. Ellis

Please don't get mad. Everything looks nice but why did you build the stone walls so close? I know that I would be banging into them. My dad did that with a hand layed up wall without mortar just like those in the back yard. Guess who hit them first with a tractor and a bucket load of firewood. Hope you don't hit them.

Nice job ! And nice and thick ! Should last forever ! Did you have to spray a cure on it, or did you have to keep it wet it cures ? Just curious. I know if it's hot it can cure too quick especially if it's hot. You did a real nice quality job ! What did the concrete cost per yard. I was talking to someone last weekend and the going rate around here is 180 per yard.

It has been real hot here in Northern Ky. but the last 2 days it really cooled off so I poured it and just kept it wet until dark, and again today. I paid $127/yard including tax. Total for the job was $841.00 for 6 and 1/4 yards. It is between 12 and 13 inches thick. Ellis

Ellis I just posted about concrete cost on tractor tales if you care to read it. Cost here is around 180 per yard. Regular old concrete. I. Western New York.

Thanks Ellis and good job on the cement . How many speed is the transmission on that little dozer? I grew up on a John Deere 420C still have it and it?s only 25 horsepower and weighs about 4500 pounds and it would do a lot of work for sure

Well I just think ahead. A little scratch here and there will be good. This is what the neighhbors wife did with her SUV two months ago.

I have heard uniformity is very important too. 1 foot thick sounds like overkill ? I don't think major highways are that thick are they ?
