Farmall H three point question and others.

The Farmall h I have has an aftermarket three point on it and I have a couple questions. I presume this has down pressure which might come in handy but how do I free float a three point blade when smoothing a driveway. Is this possible?
Also. Is that toolbox laying there a part of it or just a farmer add on?

Last did Farmall have lights like those on the fenders?

Thanks for the comments on my other posts and for all the help.

I don't know Farmall H very well but regarding your first question - I would assume for the age of your tractor that your hydraulic pump stops when you step on the clutch. If it does, just drop your 3-point hitch blade while you depress the clutch pedal and then start driving, you are now floating your blade until next time you move the hydraulic lever. I do this a lot with one of my tractors that has a Charlene double-acting pump. I am a bit surprised if your aftermarket 3-pt. hitch has a double acting cylinder but yes it can come in handy at times.

The lights don?t look factory and the toolbox doesn?t either. I think the factory H tool box would have been across the fromt of the light bar.

It looks like there are two hoses going to your cylinder on the hitch which would suggest you have up and down pressure. If you look at the arm the top of the cylinder is pinned to it looks like there should be a pin through it. This will allow the arm the cylinder pins to stay stationary and the channel that sits on it to raise up. If you can get a couple of better pictures of the area above the cylinder it will be easier to say for sure.

Hard to see the valve and cylinder from the pics, but it looks like a double acting cylinder, hose on each end. Are there two hoses going to the cylinder? Does your valve have a float detent? If it's a double acting cylinder,no float detent on your valve,it's not going to float.

I have a Saginaw 3 point on my Farmall C with one cylinder on it. Right above the cylinder there's a pin you can pull out which will allow it to float. Yours looks awful similar to mine.
