I suspect from your posts you are not right up on bailers. The big things you want to see are the thing tieing and working. For less than a 1000 dollars say you use it for several years your OK. Tines chains most bearings etc can be had. Get your self some books for whatever model you buy on ebay etc and that will help. Most likely NH jd and ih will be most prevelant and parts are available within reason. Your area may vary some. Good luck
 
I know nothing about balers!! Last time I was around a square baler was mid '80's and I was stacking bales on the wagon. I will do some research , luckily the horse farm lady has decided to just have us mow the field this summer and possibly do hay starting next summer. Plenty of time to learn before I buy one. Thanks for the advice

Grandpa those deere 300 series are a nice baler. So is the 200 series. The 14t was OK but slow low capacity. I don't know your hay conditions but one may work well for you. Like I said buy private and have them demonstrate it. That it works. Holla to me with any questions.
