2000 psi Fergie relief valve followup

I just got off the phone with a very helpful lady at Jensales Inc, the company that just bought Fixthatferguson and external_link to
order a 2000 psi hydraulic relief valve for a TO 35 shown on the website. She checked the specs for me and found that the one shown
as a 2000 psi valve is really spec-ed at 2300 - 2500 psi. She said they are finding they need to double check specs on items on
those websites. I think since I have the 2 1/2 inch lift cylinder I'll just put the old 2000 psi valve from the old pump on the new
one and see how that works. I will say she was though and spent quite a bit of time on the phone to be sure I got what I wanted.

Too bad that didn't work out, too good to be true.

When you get the 2500 out, would you be interested in sending it to me to see if I can modify it?

If it will come apart I can maybe bore it deeper or add spacers under the thread to make it longer, relieve some spring tension.

I have a hand pump and gauge I can test with.

Just a thought, Email is open.

Why would anybody not want more pressure in hydraulics if it is available? I would jump at a 2500 relief unless the machined castings can't stand the extra pressure.

that is the problem on these MF's with the 2 1/2" lift cylinder. I have a 2500 on it now and blow o rings

thanks Steve. i'm not going to work on it for a while but I may take you up on that. I'll contact you on the forum. John

Yes, it's the castings are too weak.

John's been lucky it just blows orings.

I've seen them break the top cover, then the broken cover can take out the bolt bosses on the case! Nasty!
