A while back I mentioned my wife had balder cancer. The tumor was removed, but there is a good chance for the cancer to return. So the bladder is going to be removed tomorrow. It's a life changing event, with a bag needed for the rest of her life. Anyone here had that procedure? Stan

My brother had the same thing done 3-4 years ago. He gets along just fine, and is more active than I am. He just replaced the motor in a Jeep he bought, and is fixing it up. Already bought another Jeep to start on when this one is done. Of course the bag is an inconvenience, but hasn't slowed him down any.

My fiance had her bladder removed ten years ago but needs no bag! Creative surgeon at the University of Kansas Med Center in Kansas City created a new bladder from a piece of intestine and it works great. Please ask her surgeon!

Two of my friends had that. They said it was not horrible. Hope your wife has the same reports. Wishing you both good luck with it.

I had mine removed last Sept. It has been a very easy change. All has gone well, slept all night every night since surgery without getting up. All will go well. and speedy recovery.
