A little horse trailer repair

Used the old Miller welder 👨‍🏭 to weld a new floor
brace in the old stock trailer . Tried using the dc
welding plugs on the machine boy does that make a
difference on running an overhead bead and even
flat beads are easier thanks Jon

Was trying to adjust my speed to keep from burning
through the rotten material
 
My neighbor was hauling some cattle in his stock trailer. When he got to where he was going, inside was a cow that fell thru the floor and it had wore her front legs down to nothing.
 
RLP, I saw the same thing happen when I was a kid.

A truck stopped at my dad's gas station, had a trailer with some cattle on the way to market. One of them had broken through the floor, front legs ground off!

My dad offered to put it down for him, he declined, said they won't take them dead, he was going to try to get there before it died. Took off with the ground off legs still through the floor.

I still remember it, what a horrible way to spend the last minutes of life!
 
Years ago a guy we did not care for stopped at my buddies place with his truck and trailer with his horse inside. We were talking and heard a lot of banging from inside the trailer, opened the door and his horse had fell through the rotten boards and was standing on the ground. It's a good thing it happened when he was parked, or we might have drug him around and gave him the same treatment.
 
The boards aren?t to bad in this one but the front piece that the front of the planks rest on has rotted away leaving just the boards supporting all the weight
