Took a few drone pics this morning. Canola crops that look fair from the ground look a lot worse from overhead. My yard in foreground, neighbour's canola in the background.

Man, that does look pretty sparse. Photos below of our tractor club's efforts this year with our grain
(barley) crop. Any Canola you see is volunteer and came up from last years Canola harvest with a renter on
the property. We seeded barley in our area (it's doing well) but had to stay off the area with the Canola
but it should have been dealt with. It wasn't our responsibility. We've had lots of rain but nothing like
what you have experienced.

The volunteer canola looks better than most of our planted crops here. Not sure what Monsanto would say if somebody was to harvest the volunteer crop without having paid the technology fee. We pay in the neighbourhood of $12 per pound for seed and that includes the tech fee.

A lot of fields in my area are like that.
But its better than the fields that never
got harvested and still under water from
last year.
