Kubota airconditioner

The air conditioner on my L3600 kubota works fine for about twenty minutes then gets warm.i get off and look and the clutch that kicks it in will not be running then it might start back up but eventually stops and wont start again until the tractor is cooled off any thoughts

Have you cleaned filters, condenser & radiator? Next thing I'd recommend is checking both high & low pressures of AC system to determine if system is low on refrigerant.

Check for voltage across the clutch magnet wires.

If there is 12v there and the clutch is not engaged, could be the air gap is too wide for the magnet to pull the clutch together.

If no power there, something is loosing connection, like a cycling switch or the switch inside the cab.

Or there is a high pressure switch open, possibly restricted air flow through the condenser.

Rick the hi pressure kick out is shutting it off BECAUSE your unit is not getting air flow right there in front of the radiator. Folks will not clean the dust and grass clippings to allow air flow thru the condenser. Water is a no no need to blow air and may have to take small shipping strap or flat metal and go thru the unit. Got to get it clean.

Agree with showcrop it's probably low on refrigerant. Take a look at the evaporator and see if it's icing up; that's a sign of low refrigerant.

Hook up a set AC gauges & tell us what the readings are. That will help us figure out what is wrong.

My experience with my Kubota tractors is you need to blow out the rad. There is a screen in front of my cooling system, and that thing will become covered in short order if conditions are right. Before I got excited about low refrigerant levels, I would spend some time throughly cleaning out all the cooling radiators. Only then would I look for problems related to low gas or pump issues.

Rick I am with Bruce , the LAST thing in the world you want to do is go to shooting some Freon in there. Firs off as new s that tractor is it should not have a leak but my real concern is 95% of the time it is condenser air flow, just been there done that too many times. Folks will say O it is clean but we get it in the shop and go to cleaning and find they have sprayed water on the condenser and just swelled the weed seed and dust into mud in there. Takes real patience to clean one like it has to be done. Check that condenser again before you add Freon.
