Stiga mower transaxle

I'm having trouble going up even slight grades with my Stiga mower. The transaxle is a Kanzaki and I've filled it up with oil, likely over filled, as it is wet there now. It seems to climb hills better when cold. Can transaxles be adjusted? Are hydrostatics any better?

To the best of my knowledge transaxles have clutch pacs to allow one wheel to go faster than the other when turning. If it doesn't want to drive I would say that you have a bad clutch pak. drain some oil from it and see if there is any foreign material in the oil.
