Cub Cadet HDS 2185 PTO Problem

I picked up this Cub HDS 2185, 48" deck and can't get the PTO to engage. It will engage when wired directly to the battery. I replaced the switch with no results. When I use a test light to check power at the plug before the PTO it always shows 1 hot wire anytime the key is in the on position. The PTO switch, nor the seat safety, nor the reverse switch change the power at that plug.

Any help is appreciated.

The wiring must be traced from the switch on the dash to each switch in series to find the fault. Clutch/neutral switch? Jim

One side of the connector is hot from the ignition on.

The PTO switch completes the ground circuit through the reverse relay.

Double check all the connections and the reverse relay, and the reverse switch.

Thanks, that's what we discovered last night. Looks like I am loosing ground in a relay. Relay looks like it has been wet so that is part is on order.
