how to replace guide sleeve clutch release

I am rebuilding 1951 farmall c engine, while I have engine out I am wanting to replace all clutch items I can. I can't figure out how to replace the clutch release sleeve guide (bushing). Any help would be greatly appreciated! It's #13 picture on page 114 in my parts book.

Why do you need to replace it, I've never heard of one "going bad"? (Not to say that couldn't happen!)

AFAIK, the steel tube is pressed into the cast iron clutch housing.

If I had to tackle this, I would weld a nut to the front that fits my large "slidehammer" puller, and yank it out, cutting it out with a torch would work, as well.

Clean the hole, put a little Loctite in the bore, then draw the tube into place with a long threaded rod and some flat washers.

And I will add that before removing it make sure you have a new one! You might need to have one made! Jim
