I went to Fastenal and found out they are only wholesale now. Drove to Farm & Fleet and got grease zerks and a nifty little tool with a easy out on one end and a tap on the other end. Stopped at Harbor Freight and got a set of left hand drill bits. I got a few out with

small vice grips, had to cut some off flush with a chisel and drill out and a couple with easy out. Not

enough room to use the nifty little tool for $12.00. Now I am confused, 1/4 ?zerks are smaller than 1/8?zerks. Anyhow, got it done, all took grease but 3 of them and they pushed grease out around the threads. I will try to tight

them some more tomorrow, but not real confident it will help. Thanks,Chris

Maybe now if you had a grease buster you could drive some light penetrating oil into the ones that won?t take

Chris the 1/4-28 grease fittings are SAE thread/standard bolt thread. The 1/8 are NPT- National Pipe Thread. So they are way bigger of a thread than the 1/4 ones.

On the pins that would not take grease. Heat the pin/sleeve up. Even if you do not have a cutting torch even just a propane torch will often soften old dried out grease and rust. So heat it up while trying to push new grease through.

I have had to split the sleeve with a cutting wheel to get some pins to take grease. Then open the slot with a chisel before welding the slot shut. If you do not open the slot the weld cooling will shrink enough to lock the pin.
