That B if that is what it is appears to have cut off on the rear as in at one time was steel wheeled. I have a 1935 B that is on steel wheels and has been in the Family since 1940

A friend just bought a restored LA with a factory PTO and paid almost $10,000 for it. It is a perfect and correct restoration and there are more than likely less than a dozen factory pto's in existence but still not worth that in my opinion. Tom

Many years ago when I was a young kid, I had a friend down the road from where I lived and his folks rented a small farm, they didn't work the farm just rented the house, anyways, my friend and I explored the small barn on the place and tucked away in it was a John Deere LA. I didn't know nothing about Deere's at the time, but I thought that tractor was just the right size for me, the farmall A we had was just a little bigger, but man I sure wanted that little Deere. I never seen that tractor used and have often wondered what ever became of it. After I got out of the service I came home to find the place had been torn down.

You would be happier to keep with the newer numbered models like a 40,420,430. Easier to get off and on and have a standard 3 point. IIRC you have several Ford's and use them. These JD's would be very similar but better because they have live hydraulics. A 420,430 could be had with live pto too.

(quoted from post at 22:42:49 07/03/19) My dad thinks we need a JD. Maybe an M
ou

Take Mike M'a advise and get a 420 or anything newer than an M.
I about bought an M but saw the better features were in the next generation.
Ended up with a 57 420 standard with 5 speed.
