I was following this with interest 'cause I ASSUMED you were talking about a "cuber", rather than a big square baler!!!???

The new Holland went to scrap after I spent 3 days trying to untangle the chain and then the chain was shot and half the tubes were bent I swore I?d never own another apron chain baler ever again . So I bought a junk Hesston cheap wouldn?t even run finally bypassed all the junk computers on it and got it to run and pulled all the belts out and had them resized just need to pick them up from the dealer and get them put in also needs a new shaft it has a driven belt guide that runs off a chain needs one of them and it should run . talk about an over complicated pos let?s make a round baler that needs 2 brains and 15 miles of wire and switches to make a bale of hay when a new Holland or John Deere has a simple monitor the Deere of the same era will bale without the monitor even hooked up ran a435 for years with no monitor at all I guess that?s what I get for buying a fix it again tony fiat product ! Oh well it was cheap and it will run and bale hay eventually I still think it was better than fighting a worn out apron chain now if I had my old 851 back I?d take it even though it?s basically a round loaf stacker maybe a half notch above or below the first hawk built round balers that rolled the bale on the ground to form it but the thing would put up hay . And now I realize your talking about the D1000 it?s 60 miles from here and so is the tractor to run it and I haven?t had any time to even see what all Is wrong with it . And I could have used the ih 440 but I didn?t want the cow hay in little bales when you?re feeding 600 head a day the last thing you need is to pitch little bales into the mixer by hand every day .

Well bob some call round bales rolls to, and although I usually hate the correct police 👮‍♀️ a roll is something you eat for dinner not something that comes out of a baler . So this is now the cuber . Kind of like a trailer plow instead of a trailing or drawn plow always wondered if trailer plows were available in gooseneck or bumper pull ball or Pintle hitch ?

You mentioned the Hawk-Bilt baler, he last one i saw was over around Dayton Tn. sitting in a fence row. I never saw one work, or the bale it made. Always wondered about all of those teeth on the thing, would have been a nightmare keeping them in it.

Heritage iron had a neat arrival about the hawbilt baler . I don?t know anything about them but they do have a lot of teeth

NOTHING to do with the "Correct Police", I want an old DEERE hay cuber, and I was expecting to see something like that when you said you had a "cuber" coming, darn it!

I have always wanted a John Deere hay cuber as
well . And I didn?t mean to call you the correct police
I was calling myself the correct police .

Same here. Went past the post several times. This morning I thought it would be a good time to learn about a cuber....lol.
