Well it is official. At 6:16 this morning I turned 65. My wife ask what I wanted to do today & I said mow everything so it looks nice for the 4th. I'm guessing we'll probably go out for supper somewhere.

I turned 65 on June the 25th. I thought about getting some white pants, moving to Florida, and complaining about the government full time. I guess I will just mow about 5 acres of grass and try to get it baled before the rains set in again.

Welcome to the Club.........:)
Are you headed to Alaska this summer....?

Bob...Dawson Creek area BC Canada...

When you get into your 60s you'll hear all sorts of crazy stories like; "your best years are over', 'you're half the person you used to be', or 'you're a has been' or 'you're on the home stretch to the dirt nap'. Having been there and way beyond I can tell you with authority... It's all true.

No we aren't heading north this year. We actually bought a winter home in Texas. I sure do miss the north country though. Some of my friends know not to get me started talking about it or I won't shut up for hours. I always liked the Dawson Creek area.

Happy Birthday. I would say 65 is a nice age but it?s been so long ago I don?t remember what it was like.

What part of our great state are you going to winter in?

will turn 65 in October, start looking into the medicare stuff in august, rest of year will be finish house project and clearing trees in crp ground now own

Boy I wish I go back there. I built 28 BY 54 foot barn all by myself in S, Carolina that summer. Had a great time except for the metal roofing and my smashed fingers. Finally figured out that a v in the end of a 1/2 inch pvc pipe would hold the nails just fine, Now at 87 I still mow 10 acres with my Farmall Super A. Happy BD ya'll

My uncle's birthday is today. I call and tell him all the towns around here put up flags for his birthday every year. He is 93 and his wife is 91 this year. They both still get around pretty good.

Alamo We bought a place in a 55 & over community. Where abouts are you? Anywhere close
