Do I need a puller to remove the injection pump from the gear it marries to on the tractor? Thanks in advance

Yes. The gear will remain in the housing. Time your pump before you remove it-if I recall correctly, the keyway will be at 10 o'clock. Be careful not to drop the key- I usually lay/pack a rag under the gear. Mark.

Hi Jeremy, be sure to set the static timing and mark everything before removal. DO NOT LOOSEN the bolts on the drive hub only the big nut on the drive shaft.
IH recommends a special puller to remove the gear from the drive shaft.
