have a Case IH 860 hay rake. Single dolly wheel. I put new bushings in the pedestal, got them from dealer. $10 each, takes 2. While there I asked price of rubber mount teeth. $25 each. How can they expect anyone to pay $25 for one hay rake tooth? Takes over a hundred to load the rake, and when that rubber gets old, well, they go quick.

Found some at TSC that are listed as 258 New Holland may work. Bar is bigger diameter on the Case and Masseys, as regular New Holland, regular rubber mount won't go over and the brackets for the steel won't fit, as well as the bolt being bigger. But how could they think these teeth could be worth that?

Because if nobody has them and you need them 25$ is awful cheap compared to starting your own manufacturing company and building them yourself . Or you could scrap the rake and find a different one sometimes that?s the issues you run into with old equipment

Smaller dealers are in the squeeze just like everyone else. It can take a lot of time looking on line finding new sources and then someone in the office has to set up an account and order. I get my rubber mounted ones for my JD at TSC. I go through about ten a year, mainly due to uneven ground Until last year they were pretty much the ones that came with it when I got it third hand 15 years ago.
