I think I found the issue with my Super C

I checked the gas flow to to the carb, and it was not getting enough gas. I removed the glass sediment bowl and the fuel port going into the sediment bowl had a bunch of crap stuck in it. I cleaned out the port, and it started flowing much stronger to the carb.

I gave my tractor a quick test drive up the hill and no more stalling.

Thank you everyone for your help, I know I leaned a little more about tractors these past couple days of troubleshooting, and I am thankful for it.

It certainly does! Once I get the mechanical stuff taken care of, I want to do all new paint. First things first though, I have some mechanical stuff on my to do list, like checking out the brakes.

Only thing is you should add one of these. They fit into the end that screws up
into the tank. You should never ever have that problem again.

I have that screen in one Cub that has a rust problem. Works great, but I have to remember that seeing a little fuel in the bottom of the tank doesn't mean it has enough to run. I do recommend them.

I agree with Jeff.

Chances are there is more rust in the tank.

It could clog again, or cause the carb to flood if trash gets in the needle valve.

If you try to remove the fuel valve from the tank, there is a possibility the fitting could break out of the tank, or start leaking since the tank is rusty. Be gentle! Support the valve with your hand so not to put side stress on the tank when wrenching on it.

If you get some time to invest in it, take the tank off, rinse it out with some E85 gas if you can find it. Try to get as much loose rust out as possible without disturbing the bottom too much. Don't scrape it, sure way to start leaks.

Just be aware, chances are the tank is going to be getting thin at it's age. Any disturbance could start it to leaking.

Another tip, anytime you disturb the fuel system, remove the line from the carb, let some gas run through to flush out any debris so the carb only gets clean gas.

Get those brakes working ASAP. Brakes can mean you live or die and you are too youmg for the later.

I used to be young and ambitious once. Now I just say "[i:26c4ee60d0]Oww[/i:26c4ee60d0]!" a lot and wish I could get things done without actually doing them. *lol*
