Watering orchard grass

I broadcasted some orchard grass today and then drug it. The soil is still damp. I'm wondering if I should put a sprinkler on it or wait a few days?
There is some seed on the surface still and I thought watering may help it germinate? I over seeded it quit a bit as I already had the seed but it is old.
I think the soil should drain pretty well and it is on a slope.

I wouldn?t irritate if there is already moisture where
the seed is laying

Crops in my experience do a little better if they have
moisture to sprout and get going with the moisture
already in the ground and then water after it gets up
a little ways

I may be to impatient and wetted the surface down. It was dry on top and theres alot of seed sitting on it.

I have had good luck running a packer after the harrow...amazing what some pressure on the seed will do.

Yes I should have but I didn't feel like going to get it. This is only a 1/2 acre of horse pasture. My equipment is old hand me down stuff. It's fun to play if nothing else.

If I had the ability to irrigate it I would. If it stays dry your efforts so far will have been wasted.

It is is damp but drying out fast. It was 80 here yesterday and no rain insight.
I tried to just get the top wet but my sprinklers dont put the water on very even.
