Case 411 Questions

According to TractorData, it pumps 12 GPM @ 600 PSI. Is that pressure right??

It lists several variations of the 400, with some stating belt (claimed) at 50hp and (tested) at 49.4hp. Don't see anywhere a reference to a 540 rear PTO.

Looking to add a new machine??

Yea fellow is trying to sell me one pretty cheap runs and operates good couldn't find the PTO HP anywhere.Looks like it might be a handy tractor to have around.

Tractor evidently made during the transition period of when they quit using belt to measure the horsepower to using the PTO for that as belt pullys were no longer avaible. PTO and BELT should be very close, just a earlier way of getting the power there as against the PTO that is easier to hook up. A tractor that has both could show a bit more on PTO than belt just due to wasted power to turn belt.

Nebraska test #566
Case 411, 4-cylinder 251 c.i. gasoline: 53.25 maximum pto horsepower.
50 horsepower and 6500 pounds... better be level ground for pulling a round baler.

That's a real small tractor for a round baler. Would need to be a small round baler to be able to handle it. Would be comparable size wise to a 4000 Ford or so, bit with maybe a little more hp. Should have 28" tires.

Oops, a 411 is a large frame 409 like mine. The diesel can pull a round baler in most conditions but is marginal. A gas will struggle.

I think it has 15.5 X 38 on it figured it might be marginal with a baler although I pull my NH 851 balers with 2 Oliver 1550 tractors they are about 55HP no problem.Still a pretty neat tractor, gas, looks good guy says it runs and operates OK.

The hydraulic system pressure is 1200 psi if the pump is in good working order and no one has messed with the relief valve.

If the tractor has eagle hitch (Case's version of 3 point) it will only have one set of double acting remote outlets with no float position. If it does not have eagle hitch it will have two sets of double acting remote outlets. One set will have float and one set will not.
