tree trimming

Duke Energy had the power cut on my property trimmed today. All trimmings fell into the hay field which of course hasn't been mowed. The foreman swears that he will have a crew out here tomorrow morning to drag all limbs into the woods and clean up the mess. I am not expecting that to happen, due to previous problems with whatever company happens to own the line at a particular time. The people I talk to are usually three states away two days later. Duke Energy is just too big for an individual to deal with. Ellis

Duke services the town I work for and they are terrible when there is an outage or you need something. Last fall a combine got into a phone cable which brought down a rotten pole. It was approaching 5 hours when someone finally showed up. Halfway patched it together and still like that today. They are a company of broken promises as well. I?m not sure where the problem is and not dogging anyone that works there it just seems like there system is flawed

That's not eminent domain, that's a permanent easement. Eminent domain is where they take your land, supposedly for fair market value...

We do not have the helicopter trimmers here so they have to walk/drove onto the property which makes it a face to face conversation and more interesting. TVA and East Ky Power (we have then here in Kentucky) are not supposed to leave a person with a mess to clean up if the work on the power lines or maintain the right of way. You own the land they just get to cross it and maintain the lines and so forth... They still try to get away with what they can. Someone must have told them it was a lot easier to clean up their mess as they go than to continually come back and fix lines that had been shot down. Must have been a pretty good agreement as it has worked so far.
