Walmart ag tire update

Just wanted to let everyone know the tires that came in were car tires just like everyone else got. Store said they couldn't re order, I would have to do that online. Got the number for walmart.com and filed a complaint. Will also try to post a review online.

BTW, did call the local tire store to order a set of Firestones about a week before I ordered these. Said he would call me back in 20 minutes with a price. Still no word from him either. Evidently no one wants to sell me tractor tires.

So what is the actual car tire size ? Are the Chinese sizing things differently ?

You must have bad dealer. The independent dealer we have gives a price right off the bat and checks to see if they have at the warehouses they buy from.It may take longer if he has to hunt for them.

Walmart is just a glorified dollar store. Yes we shop there too but I wouldn?t buy anything there and expect it to be good quality or for the order to be processed properly. They market on price point not customer service and quality.

I deal with one tire guy and have now going on 40 years . I don't care what tire your looking for his prices can not be beat . When every guy around here was looking for 16.9x38's to go play antique tractor pulling and were paying up wards of 6-700 a tire and waiting for weeks to get a set , i made one phone call and Jimmy said give me a couple days . Two days later he calls and said your tires are in and when i asked him home many green stamp books i needed the told me 269 a tire and 15 for the tubes for barn new Firestone all trac. I needed new tires for our Durango and everybody wanted 165 and up for them Called Jimmy and for 98 out the door mounted and balanced but i had to give him two days to get them on the truck due to every tire coming in was spoken for . My daughters needed new tires a couple years ago and we needed new tires so we made a family affare out of it with tires for three cars Vettett paid 82 a piece for here Kumo's Beth got another high end tire for heres and it was 90 each and the new car was 90 each . truck tires for my one ton are 98 each. He may work out of a hole in the wall with no frills but he sells tire lots if tires . You pick what you want and that is what he get.

I've been getting my Ag tires from Jerry's tire in Lake Odessa Mi. They have hundreds in stock.Only once have they needed to order the size I needed. Prices seem to be fair.

I didn't ask. The guy was in the middle of several stacks when he found my name on them. I did state False Advertising in the review. It remains to be seen whether they will post it.

A good way to determine a good tire dealer is to look behind his building. If there is a mountain of worn out, no longer useable tires, that means he sells and installs bunches of new tires.

My problem is I'm outliving my tire guys. First one died after 30 years of doing business with him. Next one was 20 years and he's gone. Outliving tire guys and doctors is getting to be a pattern now a days.

I asked customer service and they told me Walmart was the seller. Still figure their vendor was simple tires since the other guys were.

I'm wondering how this works too. If Walmart is advertising it on their site as available and in stock at a certain price, why aren't they filling the order? Yeah, Specialty Tire is the vendor, (in the case I was dealing with),but Walmart is advertising the tire under their name. Seems like there must be some obligation to fill the order correctly to me. That or stop advertising 13.6-28 ag tread tires for under $100!!!

if you look around the website, likely at the very bottom of the home page or what your looking to buy page, the "terms of use" details will absolve the vendor of any mistakes showing in the ad.

I get some tires from Tredz central(your next tire) in courtland, Nebraska. Google them, they are close enough to me I can drive there. They've offered to pallet the tires and ship them. Also when I call to make an order my tires are always ready when I get there no waiting for them to go looking.

Maybe years ago, but nowadays the
busiest places don't have a single
tire out back. One local shop they
have a semi trailer backed right up to
the dock and it gets swapped out
pretty often as it fills with used
tires quickly

Did anyone really believe they could buy tires that normally retail for several hundred dollars for less than a hundred bucks AND have them delivered for free? Obviously the Walmart listing was in error. Personally I think Walmart ought to deliver what was listed, but it's clear that's not going to happen. You can make a complaint with the FTC or your state's attorney general, but don't expect two new ag tires to show up at your doorstep.

I bought my tires from <a href="https://www.millertire.com/">Miller Tire</a> in Wauseon, OH. I highly recommend them.

I dunno,I can pay full retail on some things that run about $800.00 or I can go on Ebay and get the same exact product (SDS carbide bit) for about $30.00. I'm pretty confident that what was a $100 tire a few years back could still be produced for just a bit more than back in the day. It's all the added on garbage that drives prices up more than anything else.

I had one local guy offer to sell me the 11.2-24 last fall at $140 each for the offbrand Chinese tires. And you think as big as Walmart is they can't sell the same tire for $45 less? I'll admit the $50+ tires were ridiculously cheap but Walmart is a big solid company so yes I expect them to ship anything they sell me for the price THEY offer to sell it for. Same way with Amazon.

BTW, even though Miller is a good company it is still an online 🐖 in a poke just like the Walmart site.

No argument there. Feel free to retain an attorney and force them to deliver on their commitment. Shouldn't cost more than a few grand to compel them to deliver you the bargain-priced R-1s.
