I bought this 59? model last fall and today is the first real farming job it has done here. I few things I did after getting it are: change all fluids and filters, adjust valves, clean out 2ea mouse nests, replace the oil bath filter inner screen, replace the steering gear bearings, replace the light bulbs and light wires, new key switch. I ran the rake in high range, 3rd gear, which is top speed. At a pretty low idle. It runs smooth and so far I like it. I normally run the rake with my TO-20 tractor.

That is a nice tractor. That size tractor is perfect for use with a side delivery rake. Is that a gas or diesel? Even if it is a gas tractor it probably would be pretty easy on fuel doing that kind of work.. I would like to cut some hay within the next couple weeks as I am sold out and have people who will need some soon but the weather needs to straighten out first.(I am in Central New York) My rake tractor is a 1954 Ford NAA.
