Still No Measurable Rain

But I did find some wet ground today. This creek had dried up for the first time in years so I seeded oats in it yesterday. Harrow packing it today there was a couple of spots felt a little spongy. If I'd left it alone after the first pass I'd have been ok but I had to try crossing one more time and the 2090 spun out. Should have had the duals on.

We've had more rain than what we know what to do with. The field on the corner, rented to a guy wanting to get bigger fast, has had some action. A couple of weeks ago, he pulled a fertilizer spreader around, rutting it up something fierce. About a week ago, I saw the CO-OP sprayer come in just after dark. Poor guy apparently did not know of the ruts, as that giant boom was flapping like goose wings trying to take off. Today, after our daily rain. the renter showed up with a tillage tool. He made a few rounds just before noon, then started back at it after supper. I saw the pickup lights turn on about an hour later, and noticed the tractor sitting bareback nearby. He buried his rig, but was able to escape by abandoning the tillage tool in the mud, and right up by the road, of course.

Seeds all in the ground now and waiting for rain. Little light shower last night that did not amount to anything. I'm holding off
putting in any garden stuff as I know it won't do a thing until it rains or I set up a hose from the well.
