Dieseltech- MF 65 rusty pump

I've got a chance to buy an MF 65 cheap. Been sitting 10 years and the injection pump is rusty. Owner said he pulled the top cover off and saw rust. Engine turns over fine but doesn't seem to be getting fuel to the cylinders. Are parts available to repair it? I'm assuming there are lots of these Perkins engines in service. Can you give me your thoughts?

Thanks. Tim

I just went through a late MF 65 pump last week. If it's not damaged inside, it can probably be saved. Both the early 65 and late models used the CAV DPA pump, but are not the same. The early Regular diesel had light load advance, and two hole injectors that are straight down in the head. The later more desirable 65 use the AD4.203 direct injected engine, injectors are angled in the head.

Thanks for that pump job Dieseltech. I intend to reinstall it Tuesday. I don't travel on holidays when the motorcycle rice rockets are on the curvy roads.
