Just wondering what kind of oil pressure should a VAC hold and were could I get a gauge for it that reads only to 30 psi? The one I have in it now reads about 10, but it is a 75 psi gauge. Makes it look like it has low oil pressure.

Yes, that tube is still there in place. Does it have a certain size hole in it? I think it has enough pressure as it runs good and will still do a lot of work. I took it to plow days with a one bottom ferguson plow and it did good all day. Just that 10 or 15 on a 75 psi gauge looks bad. Is there any other way to adjust pressure?

VAC has a low pressure oil system. My VAC has a gauge that read 50PSI max and I'm lucky if it read 20 most of the time and it has been that way for over 3 years and it runs well

Google is your friend. Amazon Has one for $12.95 that reads to 60 lbs. It even has CASE on the face.

I have the original gauge out of my VAC. It's not very pretty, and the reading is a little off, but it still works. I got the new, correct gauge from John Saeli, external_link.

Sounds like orignal went bad an a aftermarket universal stuck in instead of correct reading unit.

You can call Saeli Imp. at 315-five eight five 9826. Our YT friend John can fix you up with a gauge with the Case logo in it and proper range for no more money than a generic from the auto parts stores. He is out "Go-To" guy for all CASE parts.

I don't do a lot with the Case brand, but when I needed parts for an SC, John was the guy that got me fixed up, so he gets my vote too!
