After a warm bath with Dawn dish soap and a little buffing, she's looking a little better. I parked it next to the narrow front repaint. Maybe they'll bless me with a litter of Super 44s. LOL
A better shine than it had Saturday when I brought it home.

Looks good Randy! I'm about out of the tractor collecting business but if I ever run across a 66 like that at a fair price it might just have to come home with me. You don't see many down here in Florida

I was starting to think it was time to get out of it too when I had five of them out in the yard today getting them cleaned up for a show this coming Saturday. lol

Well she sure cleaned up good. I enjoy seeing a real nice original tractor like that even more than a restoration.

Ya,I have to get a set of decals and a new pair of rubber torsion springs for the seat, then I'm going to leave it alone. We'll see if it can go another 65 years. This one will have the yellow decals that say Oliver on them. The narrow front is a 1950,so it has red decals that just say Row Crop 66.

If it could talk,it would probably say "Thank God somebody opened the door!". lol

It's been in a barn for a long time.

Ya it would. I wish I had some. All I have is a few memories of it sitting in front of the barn when I was a kid.

That looks super nice have you ever tried any top coats like F11 Top coat, my boss swears by it and he is so cheap he squeaks when he walks
Enjoy your new toy
John

No,never have used any top coats. It should have something on it to preserve it once it's as clean as I can get it. I've been thinking I should spray the cast parts down with Fluid Film.

What happened to the original decals ? Not sure if I would stick new ones on as then it will not be original.

That stuff stinks like he88 but it works great you can get it in gallon cans. Before my company started farming out all of our maintenance the shop foreman took every brand new truck in the shop and undercoated them with it. I just bought a old city 1 ton dump truck and have been using can after can of fluid film on it to keep it from rusting further and it is working and staying on the metal also. I would also think it would bring out the shine in the old paint, but I'll bet it will suck up dust from a mile a way
