Disking with the 830 Case

I'm just background scenery at the 41 second mark in this video from the weekend. My brother was working some of the "reclaimed"
land with the 830 Case and IH tandem disk. It's pretty light duty but will help break up the clumps a bit and smooth out the field.
Hopefully I'll get it seeded to oats later this week.

It?s a Case thing to not have a hood.

The hood is just fine but for some reason got left off during some work he was doing on the engine last year. I expect he will get it back together one day soon.
 

Is your brother working for you to help cover all this "new" ground that you are taking on? It must be adding up to quite a few acres.

Those two patches of reclaimed ground amount to just over 13 acres. It should have been sprayed with glyphosate last year to get the twitch grass more under control but that didn't get done. So hopefully the disk will kill a bit of grass and smooth it out so I can get over it with the sprayer without shaking it to pieces. I need one of those half million dollar sprayers like the neighbours have but then I'd need more acres to justify the cost of the sprayer. :)
