Horsch Planter

Big dollar iron parade went past awhile ago, two big JDs pulling big JD planters and a few minutes later another tracked JD pulling a Horsch planter, never seen anything like it, looked like a big black and red box with coulters sticking out of the top. When it got closer and went past it looked more like a planter. This time of the year I see a lot of stuff go by one direction and a few days later they're going the other way, wonder how many miles some of those guys go.
Saturday morning a JD 4840 was working a field across the road until the rain came and traction came to a hault. That field I think was about 130 acres and auctioned off last fall. This field joins another farm he bought a year or so ago.

We road equipment as far as 75 miles . Grease zerks In the dust caps of the wheels on the equipment that didn?t already come with them grease them Up and go

I think Horsch are ahead of the game with only one seed box and it was one of the first to have electric row units. Planters with thirty one rows don't plant equal. It is stupid to have 2 seed boxes. BTO close by has two. Population is not great as fast as they run them behind Cats.

We run a Horsch planter, they are definitely built heavier than the competition. They are rated to plant 8-9 mph in good ground because of the electric meters and hydraulic downforce on the row. We planted 350 acres with ours yesterday at 5.5-6 mph. We only run a 15 mile radius.
