Massey 231 rear lift capacity

I have a mf 231 and looking at a m&w hc5 disc mower.
My sickle mower finally died. It weighs 550. And the disk weighs 750 ish my tractor handles the sickle with no problem. If i put the disc on will it be ok

Probably, from day one our IH 350U was very light on the front with its disk. Putting 2 100# weights on the front will put it where it was. Jim

Should be fine.

In 2007, I bought a new MF 533, the 2007 version of the 135. My 533 was quite similar to your 231, and probably had the same lift system.

I used it to mow with a Woods BB720X HD rotary cutter on sometimes very steep ground. The mower weighed nearly 1,200 Lbs.

Yes, I needed 4 front weights, but never any complaint from the three point hitch.
