new guy and I need help.I just put a override cluch on my 9n 4 days ago to brush hog. When I went to take it off I can't get it to turn so I can get the roll pin out.I even put a pipe wrench on it and it just turns the eng..whats up?????how do I get it off.

With the engine not running and in high gear try to make it turn. But why do you want to take it back off?? If it still works leave it on. Any tractor I have an ORC on has had it there for years if not decades

Watch this video, (on the Ford you will not have to drill). To remove the ORC take reverse the installation. Remove the zerks and punch out the roll pin, should come off!

I have 3 comments, FWIW.

1.) It's an "overrunning clutch", mite just as well get the terminology correct when asking for help.

2.) Why do you need to remove it?

3.) If it is really jammed and will not freewheel in the reverse direction, it has failed or you have broken it.

If it has failed, could be just that it's an inferior unit from the "Land of Almost Right", or if you hit an obstacle with the rotary cutter and put a severe shock load on it, that may have "killed" it.

Typically, there's no internal parts available/they are not considered a repairable unit, so destroying it to remove it is no big deal.

There's an internal snap ring inside the front end, if you can catch that and pop it out, the output shaft and outer part of the ORC should pull off of the inside part and "dogs", allowing access to the rollpin.

If not, you may have to cut the outer part off with a cutoff wheel on a hand grinder or similar tool to expose the rollpin.
