For work today I did about a 130 mile loop through south central MN. Seen 7 86 series and a 66 IHs out in the field. 3 pulling JD planters and 2 looked almost new. I have been covering all south mn for 15 years and dont recall ever seeing more than 1 or 2 a year. I was too young when my family farmed to ever drive ours, but always loved the look of them.

Goes in streak's,i seen 5, John Deere 4440 or 4430's, mowing road ditches, on a state highway's, one summer day, 4 of them had New Holland sickle bar mower's, in a 50 mile stretch, years back.

Yup, go across MN on US 212. There is a stretch in there west of I35 where they most have had one heck of a good AC dealer.

Use to see gobs of 06/56/66/86 IH's around here. Had two good dealers before IH failed, one 25 miles west and the other 35 miles south.

International Harvester built strong dependable products, they will still be working years from now. I still see quite a few M and H tractors working irrigation pumps here in the summer on vegtable farms

I put my two kids and two grandkids we raised through school working on them when I ran my repair shop,, Always a row of them sitting in my yard to be fixed in those days,, I always knew where they needed work,, guys would haul them hundreds of miles to me,,
