I had about 10 more acres of beans to go and the rain that was not to start untill 5 pm tonight decided to come early. I was in small field of bottom ground that is very hard to get dry. I finished it but the planter will need some mud washed off. I never planted in seventh gear before but in an effort to get the field finished I ran the Deere 2510 in seventh to finish. Could always be worse. Yesterday was a great day to be outside and I planted untill midnight last night. Hope planting is going good for everyone else. Tom

Lots of rain here. Equipment is sitting and the weather outlook for the next two weeks is trending wet.

Then you haven't had time to do any more on your D15?
Nothing going on here. At this point, I doubt anything will happen this month on the ground.

I have not even moved it from where it quit. I did see that reliance has the head gasket with the fire rings and I might put new head bolts in as well. Next 10 days look like rain off and on so I might get to it. Tom

Planting around here, but no one is in a good mood. Ground too wet, it?s getting too late, and lotta rain forecast for the next 7 days to drown out what we are putting in the wet ground.

Going through the motions.

I am planting as i type this but i really should let it dry out for a day. Trouble is, we have 2" to 5" of rain forecast for the next few days. I darned near planted the tractor trying to blast through a small wet hole at 10 mph. If i didnt have power shift to shift down when it ran out of power in the middle of the mud hole i would have sat there stuck. Only fifty acres to go with the corn so I should have it whipped by late afternoon. When I will be able to start beans is anyone s guess.

Saw first field work being done in my area yesterday, just outside Geneva. In. grain drill about 12 or 13 opener 4 horse powered and disking with 5 horsepower. Talking actual horse power. Where I am at weather service said 1.5" and flood warnings again after washing out a aproxamitly 140 year old Great Miami-Erie canal acquitduct? couple of weeks ago. Probley about a million dollars damage there if they can save it.
