Tractor fire not far from here

No one got hurt thankfully but it must have happened pretty fast considering he didn?t get a chance to unhook the seeder. I?m guessing the hydraulics were leaking into the exhaust but I wouldn?t know for sure. A fire extinguisher at the right time might have helped but by the time there was noticeable smoke it likely would have been too late.

Wow--When the tires and the plastic fuel tank catch on fire it gets hot in a hurry-Where is Freetown? Thanks---Tee

I always hate to see any farm equipment destroyed by fire....it's a slow agonizing death for a fine machine.

My brother in law lost one a few years ago. He stopped got out of the tractor, noticed smoke, had enough time to get in the cab to grab his cell phone can call 911. Took 14 minutes for the first fire truck to be on site. Man those things along with combines go up fast. Neighbor lost a combine couple of years ago. From the time he knew he had and issue he had time to turn the combine into the wind in an attempt to save the corn head and get out of the cab.

Sometimes a guy can save something with and extinguisher, but often by the time a fire is noticed it's far too late for that. Nothing you are doing there is worth dying for.
