I went to a consignment sale today.Got to talking to a friend as we walked up to an F-11 farmhand tucked into a corner. Was telling how I liked the f11 I used to have, and how I missed it. I had no intention of even bidding on it. However they got no bids, dropped to 100. My buddy looked at me and said "50 bucks"?I sain sure. He yelled "50" at the auctioneer.A moment later the auctioneer said "Sold!" I now own another F-11. 50 bucks!!The pump and valves are there. the pins are not wallered, only a couple of small welds. The cylinders show no signs of leaking. I think I'll put it on 'Frank'.

I paid 1800.00$ for one thought I got a pretty good deal especially when I priced out a newer loader . Missed one at auction for 800 but at the time I wasn?t sure it would fit the tractor I wanted to

MD/400 frankentractor. MD rear half,400 front half.Took two non runners from the deadrow and made one good running tractor. We call him 'Frank'.

Speaking of Frank and a Farmhand loader,I bought one from Frank on here. What'd I give you for that Frank,$200?

Same thing happened to me once on a 6 row, 30" cultivator. I needed one, but this was in September and I had all winter to play around.

I thought it would bring several hundred dollars. The auctioneer tried to start it at $300. Nobody bid, and the auctioneer kept coming down. He finally asked, "What will someone give for this cultivator?"

I said, "$20". Someone else bid $25. I bid $30 and the auctioneer said, "Sold".

I stood there with my mouth hanging open.

I once got a really nice PTO auger on transport at an auction for $50, I was as stunned as anybody when he hollered sold, wasn't even sure if I had won the bid til after !
