Yesterday I attended a farm sale about 25 miles to the southeast......The sellers had been ill and the hired help had pretty much destroyed lots of the stuff...The anvil pretty much tells the story....It sold for $70.....

They sold choice on the above 3020 and 4020 JD diesel tractors..The bidding stalled around $4200....The seller wanted $5,000 for the 3020 and $6,000 for the 4020...The black Chevy road tractor with a 427 in the back didnt sell as the bid was too low..

I got the MM G-1000 Vista LP for $1150..It ran 3-4 years ago and has power steering issues....I watched this tractor sell in 2004 just 4 miles from this sale..It was much nicer back then..

I-400 Allis Industrial tractor painted green which is made from a D-12 Allis....Had IH motor in it------$725-went to a good AC family that lives close to the sale that will get it going with the correct engine... The D-6 Cat behind it sold for scrap for $1100..There was another D-6 cat located on another part of the farm but didnt catch the price..

D-8 Cat sold for scrap for $2200...A better D-8 located about 1/2 mile away had a bid of $6,500 but seller wanted $7,000....I think they got together on a price....

Didnt catch the price on this one..

These pictures only show a small amount what was actually on this sale..Some items didnt sell and lots went for scrap..There was a nice Kuhn disk mower that brought close to $4,000..A friend got 3 loads of machinery to resell..There were several cattle trailers-lots of haying stuff-etc..They kept some of the better stuff as the grandson will continue to run the ranch..It was mostly at another location..

Certainly not ALL that damage came from the stand-in sellers, right? Seems the equipment wasn't '[i:a587d5b291]used[/i:a587d5b291]', but '[i:a587d5b291]abused-and-left-to-rot[/i:a587d5b291]'.

Very sad!

How the heck do you do that to an anvil???? Wylie Coyote couldn't screw up an anvil that bad.
Unless I was a scrap dealer, I'd have turned right around at the sight of that junk.

Wow 1206-You should have bought them all!! Is the MM the one with the bell housing the tractor pullers will kill for? Good for you. How has the weather been in your area? Are ya done planting? Have a safe one---Tee

Heres what the G-1000 Vista looked like back in 2004 when it sold on an estate auction just 4 miles away from yesterdays sale...This guy also bought the G-900 beside it but it must have already left the farm as it wasn't on the sale yesterday...I'm not sure if the Vista has the correct bell housing for the 800 engine? We are very wet with 8 inches of rain in the past two weeks...Corn planting in my area is 90% done, maybe 100% now as we had more rain this morning....Half is 4-5" tall and the rest got planted ahead of a 4-5" rain...Hardly any beans planted and wheat is all headed and looks good..

Its actually much wetter now.....Over 8 inches in the past two weeks....Took some gravel roads to the sale yesterday and they are washed out bad...Water everywhere...Go 200 miles west and they are even wetter..Below is the Kansas turnpike on Wednesday by Wellington...Was closed for 2 days..

My kind of auction too...Some of the farm machinery and small items weren't that bad and there was money to be made on them..I've got people wanting the Vista MM but its a keeper since I worked part time at the MM dealer where it was sold new..
