Has anyone had any luck no till alfalfa into existing grass hay field will it come up in good stand only way I have seeded alfalfa or any hay seed is moldboard disc cultipacker

I would not do non RR ready alfalfa again.

We used to use a horn and seed on top of frozen ground like wheat. Seeded with oats many times. then chop or mow the oats for hay. also ave cut the oats to feed the oats and then mow the hay later in summer or the next year.
If you want hay this year you will probably want the clear seeding for this years cutting. No need to plow can disc or chisel plow then work down to your liking.
